You don’t have to go to Africa to visit a safari park. There are many safari parks in Sri Lanka for wild life enthusiasts.  Sri Lanka is one of the places you will find rare Black Panthers.

Here are few safari parks in Sri Lanka

Kumana  (Bird sanctuary)

Uda Walawe (elephants)

Yala  (Leopard, Bear, Crocodiles, rare sighting of Black Panthers)

Boondala (Bird sanctuary)

Minneriya (Mainly elephants)

Horton Planes (Leopard, Rain Deer, Birds and rare sighting of Black Panthers)

A vacation to a safari park is much like a trip to a zoo, except so much bigger and better. There are no cages. The animals live in natural habitats. The visitors can drive their own vehicles through the safari parks in Sri Lanka or take transportation provided by private tour operators. There are plenty pf operators.

The interaction between safari park visitors and the animals in the park can be up close and personal. Sometimes the animals seem to think that the visitors are there for them to inspect, and they will come right up to the vehicle for a closer inspection of the strange creatures (humans).

If you are lucky you will be the next person to see Black Panthers. The frequency of Black panther sighting has been increased recently. I have see few video footages from Yala and Horton Planes.
